Sunday, August 5, 201250 SHADES OF PINK
This is VERY pretty Sandra, and personally, I would much rather
have 50 Shades of Pink than 50 Shades of Gray! OH NO, my Camera has just died and gone to Heaven! Now I'll have to learn new stuff again. Perhaps if I buy the same Camera only a newer model it will be easier.

Tuesday, July 26, 2011THIS GOES WITH THAT IN SHARON'S BLANKETIt's hard to see how lovely it is, and with all the little fuzzy bits, and the 3 chain joining the squares together has made a beautiful cuddly blanket. See what you can do with "leftovers". Should we call it "Bubble & Squeak"? http://www.youtube.com/user/7birdsonawire?feature=mhee#p/u

Wednesday, March 16, 2011OUR HOME - ON ST PATRICK'S DAY
Oh you should have been here this morning!
We get up around 5:30, my husband called me outside "Quick, run out here and bring the camera and DON'T YELL" Hanging half down from our roof was a SNAKE with a rat with its tail still swishing, disappearing into the Snake's mouth. I took a photo, and ran back inside and locked the doors. The picture is very blurry and my Grandkids will be disappointed. Then a little bit later I ventured out and saw the beauty of a very still, peaceful morning. I know this is called the Sandpaper plant, and it is a climber. Then I swung my camera down to the River and I saw what I thought was a bright light of some kind, then I realized it was the sun just coming up and shining on a Palm, and I kinda wanted the whole world to see it. Happy I saw all the beautiful things in Nature, dulled the snake imagine - but then some folks would have loved to have witnessed that - not this little duck! Don't forget to click on the images.

Sunday, September 27, 2009A NEW DAY DAWNS
5:30 in the morning and looking out my kitchen window I could see
a mist rising on the Nerang River, so went down to the Riverbank and this is the beautiful picture that was waiting for me. I looked everywhere and there was no movement of another person anywhere, only birds and water birds flittering here and there, and tweeting as they went. I pondered for a moment and realized that I was the only person in the www (Whole Wide World)that was acutally capturing this spectacular display at this very moment and I said "Thank you". ![]() Click on pictures to enlarge

Friday, September 25, 2009WHO TOOK OUR SUN?
The Dust storm arrived and everything seemed to turn a red/brown.
Even though I quickly shut every window and door, a layer of dust found its way into the house, and today is "bust the dust" day. ![]() Where has our sun gone? This is how the sun looked at noon.

Saturday, August 29, 2009SNAKES ALIVE
All those near and dear to me will tell you I HATE snakes.....
When I was a little girl I discovered if I stomped all over the Strawberries in the Strawberry Patch (green or ripe) the Blue Tounged Lizards would stay away. I can tell you I got into serious trouble from my dear old Grandad....... but it was worth it, not having to be scared by those creepy crawlies. For the past 2 days my dearly beloved has been chasing snakes - trying to get the best photo! Can you believe that? Infact he is so good he took a photo at the Garage window, and now we have a photo capturing the photographer and 2 snakes. Believe it or not, there are 2 snakes here - and it took me 1/2 an hour to find the courage to get in the car this morning. At dusk lastnight when we (well not me) discovered there ARE 2 snakes, Jackie the Kookaburra came in to protect me - and life goes on..... ![]() ![]()

Wednesday, August 12, 2009Friday, July 4, 2008RAINY DAY
It's a very rainy day here today on the Gold Coast. A great day to touch and feel and caress yarn!
All was quiet, and suddenly a Lion cub pounced in making the biggest growls you have ever heard. Grey skies seem to make the grass and shrubs appear a little greener and the flowers a little brighter and the buds almost ready to spring open. This is such a pretty bush, has beautiful waxy flowers, and when they open I'll post a picture.Spotlight has a new Get Creative Magazine just released. There are 2 beautiful Throws and a Cushion cover in the Magazine created on The Butterfly Loom. Tomorrow I will post pictures and the patterns for you. I'm off to find some pretty yarn amongst my stash to send my great niece Caitlin,so she can make herself a Scarf. I'm hoping she will send me a picture of it when it is finished so I can post her creation.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008UP, UP AND AWAY![]() Tia created this gorgeous scarf - a delight for any little girl . She used the Small Loom, and two of her favourite Yarns, worked 13 motifs and slip stitched them together, and added a quick fringe. Early morning, the sun was just rising and a Hot Air Balloon with Tourists in the Basket was silently gliding across the sky. Notice the color of the Tulip Tree beneath the Balloon - amazing!
